Not long ago we headed up to Hecla to meet a beautiful couple, Kristin & Sean, whose wedding is next year. After a quick hello we dove right into their engagement session. Kristin & Sean have a wonderful connection and were a lot of fun to work with. Hecla Oasis Resort proved to be a perfect location for photos, and we came home with a ton of great shots! A little over a week ago we met up with one of our wonderful wedding couples from 2009: Laura & Dennis. They wanted a fun family portrait session with their 2 adorable children Ava & Colten. Vanessa + Steven : Married! Wedding Photography in Winnipeg Beach

We joined Vanessa & Steven for their wedding at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Winnipeg Beach last weekend. After the ceremony, Mother Nature decided that outdoor photos weren’t an option, and proceeded to drench us with pouring rain and gale-force winds. Again. Instead we headed to Playland downtown for some arcade games, pool, and all around fun! Special thanks goes out to Tony Pimentel for your hospitality, allowing us the use of the Playland facilities, and the delicious hotdogs! We headed over to Fraserwood Hall a bit early to warm up in front of the fireplace and shoot a few photos in the lounge before the party started. Congratulations Vanessa & Steven! Enjoy the photos!

Last Friday we set up our brand-new photo booth (Fun-Booth, Crazy-Booth, Awesome-Booth, Rock-Booth; whatever you want to call it) at Helen & Bruce’s wedding reception. The staff at the Marlborough Hotel were extremely helpful in providing a large area for it in the Skyview Ballroom and allowing us into room early in the morning to set up the booth. We weren’t sure exactly what the guest response would be, but it didn’t take long to find out… WOW! What a hit!!! Guests were crowded around it and they couldn’t get enough! Everyone had a blast and by the end of the night our cheeks and bellies hurt from laughing. Special thanks goes out to our awesome neice Kiaran for giving us a hand with the props and supervising everything; we couldn’t have done it without you!

Diane + Kyle Engaged! eSession Photography in Gimli

We met up with Diane & Kyle yesterday when they made the trip out from Winnipeg with their 2 adorable dogs, Ray & Ella, for some evening engagment photos. We headed up to Camp Morton for a few shots on the beach and in the park, and eventually made our way south. We finished the day watching the gorgeous sunset in a wheat field. Thanks so much for coming out Diane & Kyle! We can’t wait for your wedding in a few weeks!

Amber + Chad Married! : Wedding Photography in Gimli

Amber & Chad are an awesome couple and we’ve been very fortunate to get to know them over the last few months. They both wanted a wedding with the feel of a tropical destination, and they did a fantastic job! With the upbeat music, bare feet on the beach, and hot weather we actually felt like we were on a tropical island. After a gorgeous ceremony we headed over to Camp Morton Park for some awesome romantic shots, and then we were off to the amazingly decorated Pavilion for a rockin’ reception. Melissa & Darcy – Wedding in Gimli, MB

Back at the end of June, We joined Melissa & Darcy for their wedding in Winnipeg Beach and reception at the Lakeview Resort in Gimli. Melissa & Darcy are 2 wonderful people and we were honored to spend the day with them. Of course, in typical Gimli style, once the ceremony finished, the rain started. We don’t mind the rain at all, and Melissa & Darcy were no different. They weathered the downpour in great spirits and we got a ton of awesome photos throughout the day. We have a huge amount of favorite photos from the day, and rather than post a tiny tease, we thought we’d treat you all to a massive post of Melissa & Darcy’s wedding. Enjoy!

Ryan & Terry – Wedding Photography in Arborg

A short while ago we spent the day with Ryan & Terry in Arborg for their wedding. As everyone knows the weather has been fairly crazy here lately, and R & T’s wedding just happened to fall on what will probably be the hottest day this year, maybe the hottest day in the past few years! The humidex stayed in the high 30s all day, and although it was warm, Ryan & Terry’s outdoor ceremony went beautifully and we all had a blast at the beautiful (and air-conditioned!) Arborg Community Hall, where we enjoyed a great home-cooked Ukrainian dinner by Meleb Catering and a hoppin’ reception. Thanks Ryan & Terry for your wonderful hospitality and for letting us be part of your day!

Cali – Grad / Senior Photography in Estevan, SK

The last senior portrait / grad session we shot in Saskatchewan was with Cali. Our travels included finding a reclining chair in a back alley in Estevan to having a train conductor slow down to watch us shoot just outside of Roche Percee. All in all it was an interesting day, and we had a ton of fun. Here are a few shots:
