Yesterday we met up with the Campbell family for a little family portrait session in the snow. Aside from a few frozen toes, everything went great! We’re continuing our featured products series at Affleck Photography with MetalPrints. MetalPrints from Affleck Photography represent a new standard of brilliance and durability in a photographic print. The image is fused to a sheet of lightweight aluminum, and is protected with an ultra-hard high gloss coating. The process of fusing the image to the aluminum produces a print with outstanding detail and breathtaking color depth. MetalPrints are delivered ready-to-hang, and because of a recessed 3/4″ mounting block on the back, they appear to “float” away from the wall when hung. This week our Featured Product series continues with Gallery Wrap Canvas prints from Affleck Photography. The Gallery Wrap Canvas print is a stylish alternative to the traditional framed canvas. The image is printed directly onto museum-quality canvas using 100% non-toxic environmentally friendly inks, and is protected with an eco-friendly satin coating. The canvas is then wrapped around a 1.75″ wood stretcher frame, and is delivered ready for display with hanging hardware already installed. Traditional framing is not needed, because the image extends around the sides of the stretcher frame and all sides are ‘finished’, as shown in the photos below.
In some cases, extending the image around the sides of the frame can cause important parts of the image to ‘wrap’ from the face of the canvas to the sides. In these cases, rather than extend the image, we can have the wrapped portions of canvas printed in a color that compliments the image, your wall color, or any other color you might want.
As with all products from Affleck Photography, Gallery Wrap Canvas prints are made from archival grade materials, which means they are designed to remain bright and clear for a lifetime of enjoyment. Our Featured Product series continues at Affleck Photography with ThinWrap prints. ThinWrap prints are one of our “Ready-to-Hang” products, which means that they require no matting, mounting or framing once delivered. Available in both photo paper and canvas surfaces, the print is mounted to and wrapped around a sturdy backing board, and an eco-friendly satin coating is applied to protect the surface. The mounting block on the back of the finished print is 1/2″ thick and recessed from the edges, which makes the print appear to “float” away from the wall when hung.
ThinWrap prints are created with the same care and attention-to-detail as our Photo prints, and are made entirely from archival grade materials.
