Winnipeg Wedding Photographers – Affleck Photography

This past Sunday Jackie and I decided to take a quick road trip into Winnipeg to check out St. Boniface Cathedral. I’ve only ever been to St. Boniface Cathedral once before, and I think any type of old architecture is so totally cool. It wasn’t hard to convince me to go. We were rewarded with some awesome blue skies, and while the light was bright outside, the cool shade inside was perfect. We both took a few shots just for fun, so here they are.

Hi folks! It’s been a long time without any update here, so I think it’s high time we got off our rumps and made a better effort to keep you all in the loop! It has been a busy time for us at Affleck Photography, although not so much with shooting, as the weather around here has put a damper on that. (Will it ever warm up??)  It has been a time of research, testing, and upgrading as we revise our business model from top to bottom.  For example, last year we didn’t offer any type of album at all with our wedding package, this year we do.

There were 2 main reasons for that: 1) We found that most couples wanted the files on CD instead of an album, and 2) We didn’t have a reputable supplier that we trusted.  This year more and more couples are asking for an album, and we realized the importance of having something tangible to preserve the wedding memories.  So off we set, researching vendors, designing and ordering test samples, and all the while reviewing every little thing from print and paper quality to cover options to ease-of-ordering.  After much back-and-forth, including a few arguments with some vendors, we finally have it: an album line that we are proud to offer to our clients.  This beautiful product is of extremely high quality and has plenty of colour and size options.

Below are some shots of what we call our “Standard Album.”  The Standard Album is an 11″x14″ printed-and-bound book in an embossed leather cover.  The pages are a heavy, high quality paper, and are specially hinged so they ‘lay flat’ while the book is open.  The Standard Album follows a standardized design: it is intended to replace a traditional 4×6 slip-in style album.  Each Standard Album contains 100 4×6 images, and more can be added if needed.  We believe that this album is a great way to show off the photos and memories of your day.  Enough with the chatter then, on to the pictures!
