We headed over to Misty Lake Lodge earlier this week for Bev & Dan’s wedding. It just so happens that summer also decided to make an appearance, and it was HOT outside. Bev & Dan smiled through it all though, and even with the heat and blazing sun we got some awesome photos of them and their family. Congratulations Bev & Dan, Cole, Ryan & Nicky! Enjoy the photos!
This spring our neice Jayden finished her first year of soccer (football for the European readers) so Jackie took a some fun shots of her in uniform. She’s only 3 years old, but Jayden is a joker to the core, and she loves to ham it up for the camera. Enjoy the photos!

We spent last Saturday evening with Katie and Mark, who are getting married in Regina, Saskatchewan this coming October. Katie and Mark are a super fun couple, and we had a blast listening to Mark play his guitar while we worked. As usual there’s always something new going on at Affleck Photography, and this e-session marks the debut of a new piece of awesome equipment: a classic 1951 Cadillac. Information about how you can have this gorgeous car for your engagement pictures and wedding day is coming soon. For now, though, enjoy these photos! We can’t wait for the wedding in October!

We headed out last Saturday evening with Jamie and Chris, who are getting married near the end of August. It was a beautiful warm evening and in-between swatting mosquitos we were able to get some awesome engagement pictures. Of course, the mosquitoes wouldn’t have been nearly as bad if I hadn’t dropped the can of bug spray off the bridge into to creek below. (Oops!) Regardless, we had a great time with Jamie and Chris, and we can hardly wait for the wedding. Enjoy the photos!

Jackie and I were lucky enough to pick up a macro lens for our Nikon cameras yesterday, and we’ve been blown away by the image quality and sharpness this little lens produces. It’s a Sigma 105mm f/2.8 Macro, and we can’t wait to put it through a proper workout at a wedding. (Macro lenses are ideal for photographing tiny objects, like wedding rings) Until then, we’re finding lots of little things to shoot – here are a couple of shots that Jackie quickly did. Enjoy!
